  • Paul Burrell v Max Clifford (2015)

    In 2002, Paul Burrell, former Royal Butler to the late Diana, Princess of Wales, approached Max Clifford then a well-known publicity agent but now serving time in prison for sex offences. Burrell had asked Clifford to assist him with adverse publicity he was receiving and in a letter to Clifford, which Burrell maintained had been private, he gave details about his dealings with the Royal Family and in particular his relationship with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.

  • ICO orders Google to remove links.

    An enforcement notice was issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under s.40 of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), on the 18th August 2015, against Google Inc.The notice required Google to take off links to a web page which had included a report concerning a minor criminal conviction relating to the Complainant, who remained anonymous during the enforcement notice hearing, committed by him approximately 10 years earlier.
