Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Saeed Bin Shakhboot Al Nehayan v Kent (aka Joannis Kent) [2016]
The Claimant, a national of the United Arab Emirates living in Abu Dhabi and from the ruling family had invested money with the Defendant in respect of his hotel businesses. The Defendant, a business man living in Athens, was involved in hotels and tourism in Greece and Cyprus. The Defendant applied for security for costs in respect of the whole action from the Claimant.

Burrell v Clifford [2016] EWHC 578 (Ch)
Deputy Judge Spearman had awarded the Claimant £5,000 in damages for the unauthorised disclosure of private information contained within a letter Mr Burrell had sent him.
This decision dealt with the question of costs. -
Bacciottini & Anor v Gotelee and Goldsmith (A Firm) [2016]
The matter came before the Court of Appeal as to an issue on the applicable measure of damages in a professional negligence claim against their former solicitors.The Defendants were a firm of Solicitors who had admitted negligence acting for the Claimants in a property matter.The First Claimant, an experienced property developer and the Second Claimant bought a property together as a shared development project.
