Employment Law: Tribunal awards increase
It has now been announced that new maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will increase from £68,400 to £72,300. The increase will apply when the effective date of termination occurs on or after 01st February 2012. The maximum amount of a weeks pay for calculating the basic award for unfair dismissal statutory redundancy will increase from £400 to £430.
